I have a fondness for them. I have scattered memories of them throughout my life. Random encounters and facilitation with their size. Though I've never run into so many of them at once. I can see how that many would be deafening. I wonder how long it'll last.
The adult 17yr cicadas will live for 5-6 weeks after they have emerged from the ground. They are fascinating. I have gotten used to them, but sometimes I need to close the doors and windows to block some of the noise.
Yeah I remember finding them randomly on trees and sitting there playing with them and I was younger. I'm always kind of fond of them but the idea of seeing them in a massive swarm that's kind of intense
