Ezekiel 3:1-4
And he said to me, “Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.” 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. 3 Then he said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. 4 He then said to me: “Son of man, go now to the people of Israel and speak my words to them.
The Lord told Ezekiel in this passage to eat the book that He has kept before him and then go. Ezekiel literally ate the scroll.
I begin to ask myself after reading this verse, what happens after you eat something? When you eat something it digest in your body, and when you digest something, you body is taking and absorbing the nutrients, this will give your body the strength to keep going.
This is also symbol of what God said that the word is our strength. But this passage is trying to let us know that before we can elevate, before we can go to a new place, territorial or enter a new season, we have to make sure that we fully absorb and comprehend the word that God has spoken over our lives. Do you know the promises that God has spoken over in his world? "That you are the head and not the tail" , that you are daughter and son of God. Do you know what God has spoken over your personal life?
You can get a vision and feel like you are good to go, but you cannot be prepared if the word of God is not in you. Our Bible is literally our manual for life, the more you read it, the more it reads you. The more you read the Bible, the more learn about yourself, the more you learn about the situation around you, and you can use it to equip and prepare yourself for the next season of your life.
The question to ask yourself is if there is anything that we are to figure out that can be learned from word of God?
