It's crazy to see how quickly campsites fill. It's so much worse than it used to be. I know my wife and I use to do drive ins at a lot of the campgrounds. For the past several year we would not even think about it. One cool thing that happened recently is my boss gave everyone gift cards for Michigan campsites so I know I'll be using it this summer.

        That is a really cool idea. I would love if someone gave us one of those. I spend at least $600 or $700 per year on reservations for all of our trips. I remember when I was a kid you could just drive in and they held a few spots or it was first come, first serve. It's not like that at all anymore. I tried to snag a site the other morning. There were three open and as soon as it ticked over to 8:00 AM, they were gone.
