RE: What I like most about weddings in my culture - Contest LOH 219 [ENG-ESP]

in Ladies of Hive4 days ago

Those would be my favorite parts of the ecclesiastical wedding, then when leaving the church it is customary to throw rice to the bride and groom as a symbol of abundance and prosperity for the family they are going to start, it is the wish of the attendees that they never lack anything, for me it is like when on December 31 we eat and throw lentils for a prosperous and abundant year. Something like that.

That's such a lovely tradition. It's amazing how tossing rice at the bride and groom is a meaningful way to wish them well as they begin their new life together. In our culture, we do something similar where we toss rice at the couple after the ceremony. It represents our hopes for a happy and successful life full of good times and joy for the newlyweds. It’s a really nice thing to do, kind of like sending good vibes and wishes for what’s ahead. Traditions like these totally show how everyone desires love and happiness to thrive in every marriage 🙏

There are many cultural coincidences, because in reality that is what is desired for a newlywed couple. Love, prosperity and abundance.

Thanks for your support. Best regards.
