Treasure hunting seems interesting and it reminds me a little bit of geo caching also you don't get anything for it beside fun. Swapping nuggets with a friend is such a bro thing. I can't imagine any girls saying this.

That's true. We found some caches pretty easy and it was ok but it is more satisfying when you had to search for it or to solve some riddles. It's almost the same in life. If you get something easily you are not as much happy as if it was difficult to achieve.
