Greetings, friends of the #LadiesofHive community. In this week's edition, we are invited to reflect on one of the questions posed by our esteemed @merit.ahama. Here is my contribution:

1. What is your favourite recent activity?

One of the activities I like to do every day is to be part of those groups of people who interact and act through Discord. What we learn from others allows us to get to know people, and even if it is only virtually, the main thing is that we accept and empathise with each other. I think that the power of a simple ‘good morning’ greeting may seem small, but it can brighten someone's day and make them feel special.

Being part of a community

I enjoy writing content on Hive and being part of our #LadiesofHive community. It fills me with pride and encourages me to continue giving my best through my writing and questions, in reference to the development of those incredible contests that we are presented with each week and that I feel have greatly contributed to my personal growth.

Making new friends, learning about their experiences, their tastes, preferences, as well as giving each other feedback, we are a good team that encourages and supports each other, reading and commenting on posts, meeting virtually to get to know each other, learn, exchange ideas and even vent, because here we express what we feel and we learn from what other people are experiencing or have experienced. We know how important it is to stay connected.

It is gratifying to read some of the contributions and see which ones are the winners with those incredible responses, which arise from the experiences and motivations of each of the women who write about their thoughts, ideas, and different or similar opinions, which help us learn every day.

I have felt responsible for keeping the flame inside me burning, much like when we watch a bonfire, as each piece of coal feeds it, my inspiration in the words of each piece of content that I want and desire to create in the different communities that I have as my favourites, just as all those people who make life in the hive do.

2. Do you have any new purchases or plans that you have wanted to make or achieve? Share them with us!

As women who do too many things, we also want to keep up with household chores and help ourselves with those essential tools in the modern home. I had recently had problems with the washing machine and dryer, and the technician made some repairs and got them working, but he warned me that due to their age, it was necessary to start thinking about replacing them.

I had actually bought the Whirlpool washing machine more than 30 years ago, and the Admiral dryer more than 25 years ago, which also had faults and didn't dry my clothes properly.

After the technician's visit, the washing machine stopped spinning the clothes, which meant more work for me, and every time I did laundry, I was exhausted from having to spend more time rinsing and wringing out all the clothes by hand.

My daughter and I looked at different appliance stores online and then went to see several washing machines that could fit our budget and quality requirements.

Finally, thank God, a couple of weeks ago, we bought an LG washer-dryer, which does both functions in one product. Because of the space-saving aspect and the warranty, it was our best option. Now it's easier for me to wash and dry clothes, as the product suits my needs.

Pienso que el poder de un simple saludo de “buenos días”, parece poco, pero puede iluminarle el día a alguien y hacer que se sienta especial.

Ser parte de una comunidad

Me gusta escribir contenido en Hive, formar parte de nuestra comunidad de #LadiesofHive, me llena de orgullo y me anima a seguir dando la mejor de mí, con mis escritos y preguntas, en referencia al desarrollo de esos increíbles concursos que nos traen cada semana y que he sentido que me han ayudado de gran manera en mi crecimiento personal.

Hacer nuevos amigos, conocer sus vivencias, sus gustos, preferencias, así como retroalimentarnos, somos un buen equipo que nos animamos, nos apoyamos los unos a los otros, en la lectura y los comentarios de los post, reunidos virtualmente para conocer, aprender, intercambiar ideas y hasta desahogarnos, pues aquí expresamos lo que sentimos y nos nutrimos de lo que otras personas están viviendo o han vivido, sabemos lo importante de estar conectados.

He sentido ser responsable de mantener encendida la llama que hay dentro de mí, muy parecido a cuando observamos una hoguera, como cada trozo de carbón que la alimenta, mi inspiración en las palabras de cada contenido que quiero y deseo crear en las diferentes comunidades que tengo como mis favoritas, tal como lo hacen todas esas personas que hacen vida en la colmena.

2. ¿Tienes alguna nueva compra o plan que hayas querido conseguir o lograr? ¡Compártelo con nosotros!

Como mujeres que hacemos demasiadas cosas, queremos también estar al día con los quehaceres de la casa y nos ayudamos con esas herramientas esenciales en el hogar moderno. Recientemente había tenido problemas con el funcionamiento de la lavadora y la secadora, el técnico les hizo algunas reparaciones y logró ponerla a funcionar, sin embargo, me había alertado que ya ambas por los años de vida útil era necesario ir pensando en reemplazarlas.

De hecho, la lavadora marca Whirlpool ya la había adquirido hace ya más de 30 años, y la secadora marca Admiral con más de 25 años, la cual también tenía fallas y no me secaba bien la ropa.

Después de la visita del técnico, con los días la lavadora dejó de exprimir la ropa, esto me daba más trabajo y cada vez que lavaba, quedaba agotada por tener que dedicar más tiempo en enjuagar y exprimir toda la ropa a mano.

Junto con mi hija averiguamos por la diferentes tiendas de electrodomésticos vía online y después fuimos a ver varias lavadoras que se pudieran amoldar a nuestro presupuesto y la calidad.

Finalmente gracias a Dios, hace ya un par de semanas, compramos una Lavasecadora marca LG, es decir, que hace ambas funciones en un solo producto, por el tema de ahorrar espacio, por la garantía, fue nuestra mejor opción. Ahora ya se me hace más fácil la tarea de lavar y secar la ropa, ya que el producto se adapta a mis necesidades.
