Hello #qccommunity friends, Happy new month. I welcome you to my blog. I joined the Hive blockchain about a year ago, and it has been a learning process for me. I am still learning, improving, and building bridges.
Curating means identifying and voting for quality posts on the Hive blockchain. Other factors attract curation,
First, if a user writes quality posts, it may attract readers from the different tagged communities to the post. It can also attract the attention of special curation from the community the user is aligned with, active in, or participating in an announced contest. The contest moderators may decide to upvote the post.
Again, the Hive power of the users also attracts curation from fellow community users, moderators, and other users. Meaning that once a user is constantly active, engaging with others, participating in community activities, the consistency will put the user in the spotlight, attracting upvotes from well-wishers and friends across the communities.
However, when we talk about the impartiality of the curation, for me some times, I feel that it is this is because I feel that some of the posts I make deserve more curation attention than it got also because I also upvote original posts considering my voting manna but then again, I am still learning and may not have answers as to reasons why it happened the way it did, So most times, I do my part by ensuring I make a quality post to the best of my ability, comment to some posts interact with others the much I could and leave the rest to fate.
So, I think there are issues of favoritism, and sometimes, I receive such favour, and honestly, I do appreciate them because the best thing in life is to keep moving, learning, and improving.
Additionally, I have received curation rewards from various curation projects; while most of them are as a result of participating in the announced contests, others were a form of favour because I don’t even know how they normally found my posts. The Ecency, India United, Scifi-multiverse, Ladies of Hives, Xpanda, Discovery it, Pakistan Hive, and other communities have been great with curation support.
Identifying the best curating project might be difficult for me right now because I am still learning and navigating here. But I would like the curation community to show support to original posts. Take the time to read through such posts because sometimes, after spending hours at night writing my posts and they don’t seem to get the necessary curation support, I feel bad and unmotivated.
In conclusion, curation is a super tool to keep writers of high-quality, original posts motivated, and when it is distributed without an obvious, impartial system, Hive will experience exponential growth compared to what is happening right now.
