Eating Healthy to maintain a good shape

The last time I visited the gym and checked my weight, I weighed 70kg... Some people say going to the gym helps to reduce weight but in my case, it did not work for me.

Anytime I visit the gym for exercise, I eat like a hungry lion when I return home because of the rigorous exercise I do there which ends up making me bigger and stronger but I am not disciplined when it comes to working out, I could go to the gym for two weeks and abstain for 2 months, I still eat a lot during that 2 months away which makes me add more weight.

Recently I was on a diet, I stopped eating late-night food and also stopped eating every minute, and within 3 weeks I noticed a change in my body but I also felt weaker, I decided to visit the gym once again and I was not surprised to see that I have lost 5kg and down to 70Kg, this was something I could not achieve when I was gyming and eating.

I am a lover of food and my favorite food is fried plantain, any food made with plantain goes well in my mouth, like beans and plantain, egg, and plantain, and rice and plantain, it hurt when I later figured out that too much-fried food is not good for the body so I had to limit the way I eat my favorite food but this does not stop me completely from eating it.

My eating habit at the moment is better than in the past, there was a time when I used to drink a lot of minerals, I could drink 3 bottles of Pepsi in a day, it was later I found that I was causing damage to my internal organ and being someone who wants to live long, I easily detached from things that harm my body, the same thing I did with energy drinks when I heard it is not good for our health.

I do not like buying food outside because I do not know the water they use to cook it nor do I know if it is safe to eat, I prefer home-cooked meals because I know how and what is used to prepare them...

It is hard to keep track of a particular time to eat, I don't even care about it, I eat at any time but now I try to stay away from eating late-night food because rumor says it is the cause of fatness and based on my study, since I stop eating in the night, I usually wake up with a flat stomach so it is working lol.

As humans, we must maintain a good feeding habit if we want to be healthy, the food we eat determines the status of our health... I have reduced my intake of junk and soda.

To stay in shape, I just need to continue eating healthy and I plan to keep it up, I hope I will drop more kg in the next few weeks.

Reading your post reminds me of the fact that I haven't seen a scale in years, so I don't know my weight. I've heard so much of how staying away from late night food reduces bloating but then again, my schedule doesn't let me determine that.

scale is present in most gym centre, some people eat late night food and stil maintain their slim body so i guess that is not the main factor that causes fatness but it is part of it.

Late night meals seemed like the best bet especially when the pangs of hunger tickles you at 1:00am. But it's what is not fit for the body that attracts people more than the normal healthy things. God, abeg.

lolz, I can relate to what you are saying cos I love eating night food too, it took a lot of self-control to stop it now and even sometimes I do violate my own rules not to eat at night especially when I work until midnight most time.

Yes fried food is filled with cholesterol which is also fattening. Since you love plantain, you can try oven dried or air fryer plantains.

I love fried plantain to 🤩 and well where I'm from that and fried fish are a daily meal so it's the glory for me heh. And also I think is we eat fresh food in balanced way I doesn't have to be unhealthy because there's a lot of things nowadays that are "healthy" on the label but not in the inside so I think that most of the journey it's about find our balance 💜. But it's good to stay away from est food that we can't know how's had been made it and of course foods with a lot of trans fat. 👏🏽

I have tried exercising,drinking some remedies but Since I started dieting,my weight dropped massively. And I can say dieting is the best goal getter when it comes to losing weight.

I never gone to Gym for exercise. I have no plans for it either. I don't need to follow any diet plan also as my eating habits are quite good. I rarely taste fast food and in case of soft drinks is the same and so my body weight are quite ok.

Homemade meals are also what I prefer. It's been a few years since I've cut back on drinking soda/energy drinks coupled with no refine sugar. I think my mind is lighter now lol although my body still feels heavy sometimes.

There was a time when I could drink six bottles of Pepsi in a day but now, God has taken control😅

when we eat healthy we will live long if there is something i avoid of recent is soda drinks before now there is no day i don't take soda drink it is very important for us to eat quality food.
