RE: Adapt or Fall: Competitive strategy with New CA Releases

in Splinterlandsyesterday

Well, yes, ultimately, since 2023, SPL has become a challenge of constant adaptation. My budget is quite limited, so in my case, I'll only buy $1 packs to secure common and rare cards as soon as possible and then gradually buy epic and legendary cards. My interest is to maintain my level of play in Modern; with the release of Chaos Legion, I'll practically have to forget about the Diamond League and start from the Bronze League. It will be a long process and require constant investment, but as you say in your title, it's about adapt or die. What I seriously doubt is whether new players will enjoy this system, which I find exhausting considering there are no leagues and the RNG, both in gameplay and matching, is a disaster. Regards.

True, also what big concern for me is the moving out of Modern Chaos Legions to Wild format. This gives me less of what I could earn for and likely invest more if I plan to stay modern, if card sets introduce 1-2 sets per year. Buying cards now might not be usable in modern if I move again to wild format which less earns, usually I buy cards that is what I feel likely usable in most battle. Even worse, I didn't play much in Wild format so I will start with bronze league.😄
