I don't know about you, but my long Easter weekend was pretty jam packed and much too short! I have really been loving this community that @galenkp created for talking about all things weekend. He also posts some really good writing prompts each week if your weekend isn't altogether exciting. I encourage you to check it out if you haven't.
The long weekend got started early for @mrsbozz and I. We took a half day of work on Thursday and drove down to Ohio so we could watch our niece play softball. It was a beautiful day when we got to Columbus Ohio with the sun shining and the temperatures hitting the 70 degree mark. Unfortunately by the time the game started the wind picked up and the clouds came in. It was downright chilly by the time we hit the 7th inning.

As I wrote in my post on Friday, it wasn't a win for my nieces team, but we got to see her play, and we got to spend some time with our great niece, so that was pretty awesome!
We got up early Friday morning and made the four hour drive home so we we could be back in time for a special event that @mrsbozz had planned with her staff at work.

For the past several years she has been writing a grant that gives the school she works at money for the staff to do fun activities to help strengthen and maintain their morale through the school year. One of the events that has been a real hit with the staff is renting a suite at the local minor league ballpark and catching a game there.
Being early April, there weren't that many fans at the park, but that allowed my wife to get a pretty good discount on the price of the suite. In fact, as we have found in years past, the cost of the food for the group was more than the price of the suite.

About halfway through the game, the rain really started to fall and when the thunder and lightning came they had to delay the game for a bit until the system moved through the area. It wasn't a big deal as it just gave us more time to enjoy the facilities and talk with each other.

After a bout a half hour the weather had moved through and they were able to pull the tarp off the field and finish the game. It was a great meeting between the Great Lakes Loons and the Dayton Dragons. The Loons took the victory at home with a couple of home runs and some other offensive moves. It was a really great game!

Saturday morning I got up bright and early so I could get to work on our travel trailer. I pulled each of the wheel hubs apart and cleaned the inner and outer wheel bearings. I then inspected them for damage or wear before regreasing them and putting everything back together. It's a messy job, but I have gotten pretty good at it. I can do each wheel in about half an hour, so it only takes me about two hours to do the tandem axle trailer.
Now all I have left to do with the trailer is to check the gas lines for leaks with my bottle of warm soapy water, and then I need to de-winterize it. I can get both of those things done pretty easily in an evening after work, so we should be ready to go for our first camping trip in May.

Saturday night I grilled a pork chop and some chicken for @mrsbozz and I to eat. We actually shared the pork chop and there was still plenty left for my lunch on Monday. The chicken was enough that @mrsbozz should be able to use it all week for lunches at work. We also had some potatoes on the grill and brussels sprouts.
Finally, on Sunday we went to my inlaws for a nice Easter brunch before heading home to relax and get ready for the work week ahead. I feel like we spent a lot of time on the road, but it was a really great weekend. We have a pretty full week this week, so hopefully we didn't stretch ourselves too thin!
