I firmly believe in a woman's right to choose, and to answer to whatever deity she may put faith in. I am willing to consider abortion control when the father is held financially liable for 65% of the child's and mother's needs until the child reaches 18. If the mother marries, he would still be liable for his support of the child he helped create. 65% reflects the disparity between in income and accumulated wealth between men and women.
If the father is underage, the liability falls on his parents. I also need to see social safety nets that are publicly funded. If the government is going to outlaw abortion, then it needs to sustain services that give the mother a path to success, and not damn her to poverty.
Needless to say, the states here in America that have the most stringent anti-abortion laws also have the worst support services for the mothers and children.
Wow! Your approach is spot on!!!!…
Countless times I have read about Children in the American society going astray and doing drugs due to lack of parental care and failed parenting.
Very few of them go on to be fortunate and end up well.
One time the State government at my end Nigeria, brought 33 children to our orphanage. These children were recovered from an illegal orphanage where the woman use them to extort money and food items from people.
The children were looking so malnourished. Imagine our shock when we got to know they were not orphans but actually have parents who could not fend for them so they gave them away.
The issue of the man fending for the child and the mother is a fight that needs to get to Nigeria because these men go on to subject the women to a lonely life, she’s not allowed to have another partner while they, the men move on.
The moment the woman starts a relationship with another man, the little money the father was bringing for child support that is not even enough will seize… But these men will move on and go on to living their best Life.
