Hello my friends..
As usual, on the daily monomad Challenge I want to contribute my entry for the Challenge And this is the entry for the Monomad Challenge this time.
This time, I want to share stories and some black and white visuals about the customs of my place. As we know, Indonesia is famous for its rich culture and diverse customs in each region. This time, I want to invite you to dive into one of the unique traditions of where I live, namely "Khauri Blang".
"Khauri Blang" is a tradition passed down from generation to generation carried out by farming communities before the start of the rice planting season. This tradition is full of meaning and reflects their gratitude and hope for an abundant harvest.
The rice to be planted is collected first. Then, the Peusijuek ritual was carried out by a religious scholar. Prayers are offered to ask for smoothness and blessings in the rice planting process.
The spirit of togetherness radiates when the village community holds a kenduri. The chicken is cut and cooked directly on the edge of the rice fields. This dish is then distributed evenly to all residents, including orphans.
Two weeks after Khauri Blang, the farmers returned to the fields with new enthusiasm. They plowed fields and planted rice in the hope of a bountiful harvest.
"Khauri Blang" is not only a tradition, but also a moment to strengthen ties of brotherhood and mutual cooperation between residents. This tradition is a reminder for people to always be grateful for the gifts of nature and work together to achieve common goals.
Hopefully this short story can provide interesting information about the rich culture of my place and also some black and white visuals. Thank You!
