Thanks for the article and photos. I had the desire to go to Athos too, I was somewhat close, in Thassos, from where I could see the mountain in the distance that looked like a volcano because there are always a few clouds around the peak.

I was happy to see your photos and read your impressions of the monasteries and monks. I am used to the Orthodox Christian religion because I am from Romania, there are also a few Romanian monasteries in this land of faith. I have seen films and photos so far, but I was very interested in the way you perceived the place.

Without phones or the internet, time felt slower.

I think it's an amazing feeling to feel time passing more slowly! In our modern world, time flies and I can't keep up with this speed.
