I'd been mulling over what to do with my hair but with every inch it grew, styling it got even more difficult. I have very "stubborn" hair as people call it.
My hair is almost impossible to comb when it is not wet and if I don't comb it regularly, it curls into tiny knots.
I'd been growing it for a little over a year and it was pretty stacked. The problem is that it didn't feel like it was going anywhere.
The hair might not seem like much but trust me, it was a lot. I had multiple layers of strong hair on my head and styling it was almost impossible or at least would require a decent amount of time and hair products that I'm not ready to buy.
For what it's worth, I still looked good with the afro. However, I feel like the hair had outlived it's purpose and had to go.
What is important is how I feel and either way, I feel good. There was a brief moment when I sat in front of a mirror that I actually reconsidered cutting it off. For the foreseeable future, some air and water will be touching my head. I bet that feels good.
