Hello @pinmaple community, today I share with you a very special place, the "la summit" hotel, in my city, Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. This place is very special. There you can breathe oxygen. It is located on 5 de Julio Avenue on top of a hill, more like a giant stone, a hill, called "hill of hope", it is curious, the name of the hotel was the product of a contest that was held among the population to its inauguration in 1964.
In those days, the Hotel La Cumbre was the fashion and, attracted by the demand and credits of the Development Corporation, its owner, the doctor Arturo Toledo Sánchez, who stopped hosting patients in his private clinic to host travelers in the hotel, decided to expand it with a loan that was not enough due to the risk of embargo that he resolved through great efforts.

In fact the hotel was closed for years. I told my daughters about the architectural marvel that that hotel once was and that it pained me that they had closed it to the public.
This is one of the leading hotels in Ciudad Bolívar because it is located on a hill from where you can see a large part of the city and the river that runs through it. Inaugurated in 1964, since then it has gone through several administrations that have always maintained the jungle atmosphere that characterizes the structure. The hotel rooms are built around a swimming pool surrounded by greenery, with a terrace, restaurant, without walls and with a view of the river and everything that lies beyond. The restaurant specializes in dishes native to the state of Bolívar, so if you go, be sure to order the tumá, a spicy local soup served with yucca.
