I always wonder the meaning of that tradition and the worst is that some people will take it so far and really look like mad people

        It's a measure to show love for the poor who are known by Rag clothes, and students bodies used such tradition to beg for money to support the poor, through charity given.
        It's quite unfortunate that most students that participate don't know the origin and meaning.
