Still from the holidays.
Sometime back, I shared my family's pre- NYE escapade to LIMA Biz Hub . Since it's been a while since I was last here in the Philippines for the Christmas and New Year’s season, we made it a point to spend more time together as a family, creating memories through simple, meaningful moments.
When we arrived at the Lipa Outlet, we first checked out where we could eat breakfast. It was rainy, and we could not let the "parentals" walk a lot, my sister checked online what restaurants were there and we directly went to at Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen.
Mama Lou’s has always been a go-to for hearty, comforting Italian dishes, and this visit did not disappoint. We were the first customers to come. I loved the rustic interiors, festive remnants of Christmas décor, and wait, what's that?! Is that freshly baked pizza? Oh,the kids are gonna love this, for sure!
Pizza and Pasta
The kids, as expected, were thrilled. They adore pizza, and Mama Lou’s offers some of the best!
We were quite surprised when our order arrived. 14" of half and half for the kids-- hawaiian and pepperoni. Surely, there's no way they could finish that.🫣
They served the pizza with a bunch of alfalfa that added a nutty hint to the otherwise already very flavorful pizza.
The thin, crispy crust was just perfect—just thinking about it now makes my mouth water.🤤
Apart from the 14" pizza, we also order a medium pizza. I forgot exactly what it's called - something "cream cheese". LOL.
For pasta, we ordered the Truffle spaghetti. Oh gresh, it was so good! You could smell the truffle’s earthy aroma, and the flavor was just as exciting to the taste buds!
We also ordered a City sampler platter. They didn't have mozarella sticks, so they compensated that with truffle sauce for the fries. The buffalo wings were a bit salty to my liking, but the sausage bites were surprisingly good!
Ala Carte for the Parents.
We explored the ala carte menu for the parents. My mom wanted Tuna Belly, but that wasn't available. The crew said that since the holidays, they were always full, and they did not have a lot of items on the menu. Mom chose pan-seared salmon served with garlic fried rice, instead.
For my father, he chose chicken piccata. It is pan-fried chiden breast fillet in lemon, butter, and caper sauce.
Don't look for pictures. The food were devoured before we even remembered to take pictures. LOL.

Discounts? Why not?!
One of the perks of having senior citizen parents is that, they are entitled to discounts at restaurants. 20%, if I am not mistaken, on their meals.
The crew approached my sister to offer their privilege card. Since Mama Lou's is far from us, we decided not to take it, and just use our parents' senior citizens discounts.
Did I say that we initially thought that we ordered a lot, an that we may
not be able to finish our food? Oh well, it turned out that we were wrong. Do not underestimate our appetites and ability to devour pizza and pasta to nothingness. We are capable. LOL.
What's next? We spent the rest of our time walking around the Outlet to burn the food we just ate. Only to be enticed by the aromatic food carts later on.😅
