And Again The Northern Quarry

in Wednesday Walk5 days ago

This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.

On Sunday, I showed a walk with my wife to the far northern quarry. Once it was not far away, but near to me, because there is a horticultural association next to it and we had a small garden there.
It's only 300 meters from our garden to the lake, and we often went there to go fishing, go swimming, or just sit and relax. And now I wanted to show this place to our daughter. She turned 18, but she doesn't even know about this place.
I haven't been here myself for about 10 years. And I saw big changes.

People swim on the boards. What are they called? SUP board.
I looked at it and realized that I didn't recognize the lake. The landscape has changed since my last visit.
The last time I was at this place, there were no piles of crushed stone, or rather, there was no quarry at all. I just realized that this place is used for crushing stones that are brought from another quarry.

I decided to walk around the lake along the path. We used to walk along it, but this time I realized that there was no path. I went into a thicket of jerusalem artichoke, and then I ran into a forest, or rather into dry fallen trees and a wall of bushes. I realized that my daughter was not ready for such an adventure. Even the dog didn't want to run ahead of me, but followed me with his head down.

You can get lost in such thickets. Jerusalem Artichoke is even taller than me, and I'm 185 cm tall.

I think that in 2 weeks you will be able to see the yellow little suns here, the jerusalem artichoke should be blooming. I have already seen these flowers in the village.

I decided to go to the lake. It turned out that the road runs through the territory of the enterprise. It used to lead uphill, but now it has been blocked by piles of stones and a ditch has also been dug. I went along the road that was under the mountain and it was separated by a ditch from the mountain. By the way, the mountain is a working-off from a quarry.

And trees grow on the rocks. They were bare rocks! And now birch trees grow on them. Nature has great power, she does everything right by herself.

I climbed over the ditch and climbed the mountain. I told my daughter that we would not go back the same way. I saw her sad eyes. She was also hot. During an hour of our walk, the sun began to warm up strongly, but my daughter went for a walk in a warm sweatshirt.

Who sees my daughter? Point your finger at her.

There are cars and tents at the far end of the lake. I want to ride my bike there and check the road. How did the cars get there?

In the meantime, we need to go home through this field. There will be a road ahead. It's about one and a half kilometers home.

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.

Well. Have all my friends, observers, and readers, wonderful walks on Wednesdays. And also on Sundays and any other day!
