A VEGETAL ROOF

in Amazing nature (AN)23 hours ago

In the city of El Tigre, my homeland, we have a very large space that has become a comfortable vegetable roof... this is because the trees that have been preserved there for many years, have been linked through their branches, with new plant species that were planted a few years ago and that due to the care and dedication of recent city administrations, it has been possible to preserve not only the leafy trees, but the shrubs and flowers that abound there, as well as the grass.

Eighty percent of the grass is natural and remains with irrigation systems, and the rest, for the recreation of visitors, is artificial. This is the Plaza Bolivar, which until long ago was considered the largest in Venezuela, then there was talk of another square of larger dimensions, and finally, again took the place of the largest, because its construction occupies the entire space, without any intermediate alley, or divisions in the middle of it.

Why is it a vegetable roof? Because of what I said before, that its trees are so leafy that the branches intertwine joining them and forming a natural roof, which protects all those who pass by, from the sun, and even from the rain.

In their old concrete lanes, some mini fondas or cafeterias, with the corresponding permission, have placed tables and chairs to serve customers.

They have no idea of the freshness that nature imprints on that space, you can breathe pure air, the breeze is delicious, especially in the mornings and afternoons, but even in the hours of high temperatures, that vegetable roof is the shelter for passersby to sit and rest a few minutes on a bench, or on the floor, if they wish.

I hope you liked this post, thank you very much for visiting my blog. Happy friday.
