The bird I found 2 weeks ago died. The cat got it but it put up a fight and it was the bravest bird I know. Found a bird and named it Birdigulan. The plan was nursing it back to health, release it to the wild, or find a new owner because I'm not looking into keeping a pet bird long term. Birdigulan came from the local dialect "Bardagulan" not a word for word translation but it's a slang for: Based on the impression I got when I took it home and it asked for a fight with the cats at home. This bird was braver that it looks and it was injured. Based off on the color of its feathers, I was thinking of renaming it into "Birdigulana" for a feminine touch but it died just 3 days before I was about to come home from another spontaneous vacation. I just asked my aunt to not bury it yet. I found it inside a shoebox with the flesh cleaned out by ants but everything else was intact. I would've shared a pic here but it's not really a pleasant sight. The cat managed to slip it's tiny paws on the of the holes of the laundry basket (a temporary cage) just when Birdigulan was caught off guard. The cat's paws pinned the bird to the side and had a tight grip which I assumed was the point when it suffered some internal fractures and bled internally. We normally just let the cats in after several days of observing their attempts to catch the bird. Only their paws can get into the basket but the bird had to be really sitting at the edge to even be given that chance. My aunt was a few minutes late in the struggle and tried to break the bird from the cat's grip. Seeing how much the cage moved and it tipped off the table letting the bird be freed from the cat but Birdigulan ain't having it so instead of flying away, the bird flew at the cat and acted like its asking for a cock fight and you know how this ends. But Birdigulan suffered minor scratches to the face until the adrenaline wore off and it started slowing down then died from the assumed internal injuries.
