Hi,
the theme for today's #februaryinleo, the initiative for increasing the interaction and the quality of posts, is about the measures to prevent climate change, which falls under the #worldonthursday.
Well, I would go with my approach. I try to buy everything locally, depending on the product with a range of production of 1000 kilometres. On two things, we try to buy local.
These are food and clothes. Food has to be bio, without additives. Even if it is hard to get it in winter. Some of it we try to freeze. You will not see me eating avocado sandwiches. I'm eating German produced vegetables, or broccoli from Italy, or tomatoes from Romania and Bulgaria. This is somehow the radius of the food. One thing comes from further away, and this is the olive oil from Greece. As we eat a lot of meat, we try to source it from local farms. I've cut the fast food, as this is rubbish, and why put rubbish in my body.
On clothes, the same. We buy mostly cotton clothes, produced in Europe. Ok, if someone gifts us some clothes done in China or India, we take them, and not throw away, but we avoid clothes from Asia. People are not treated properly there, and the whole clothing industry is having almost 8% of the worldwide pollution.
Else, we isolated the house, as we love to have it warm in here, at least 23° C in winter, and we have our solar heating and solar electricity producing what we need. We are lucky that the city has a very good infrastructure, and we often go by bike.
Once every 3 years, I plant 1000 trees, especially in deforested areas. By planting trees, we plan also for the future generations, not only this one.
I think, if half of the people would have a similar approach, we would definitely change the polluting trend.
Now to #LPUD
On the @leogrowth account, the details for this $LEO power up day can be found under this [link]https://inleo.io/@leogrowth/a-new-era-for-lpud-has-begun). It might be the last post under this format, as from next month, I'm thinking of something else.

Here are the general rules:
Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be less than 25k.
You must power up at least 50 Leo on the 15th of the month, this case, February.
You must not have powered down $LEO this year
Make a post Leo Finance about #LPUD (A Thread is not enough). Posts might get a visit from @leo.voter!
Like in the past months, we might have a bad luck prize from @onealfa.
Also, this month there will be another LPUD badge issued on hivebuzz by @arcange.
I'm happy that I've managed to power more than 1500 $LEO up.
And here is the new stake:
Here with the complete delegated stake:
I'm trying to pass the 50k $LEO mark as soon as possible. With the LeoAds in, I want a big piece of that profit. This by holding $LEO, which also earns in terms of curation. The less the assets work for me, the better. Every day adding a little to the stash that keeps on working for me.
This is part of the initiative #februaryinleo, where you can still participate, even if you missed the post from the start, like I did. All the details are in here and in here.
