On to Day 41 of the 100-Day Project!
So today was Easter Sunday, and we had a nice sunny day again so we did spend the fair amount of time out in our garden, trying to get as much done before the pervasive rain returns the middle of this coming week.

However, that didn't stop me from getting in my creative work today and it seems to be getting somewhat easier to make time for these things.
So where is the time coming from? It seems to be drawn a little bit from everywhere, but most of all I just seem to be moving faster with less slack time between each task I take on.
Today's contribution to the Retreat Stones project
Day 41 Stone Painting:
As per usual, my first creative job of the day was to paint another stone for the Retreat Stone project, and this was a fairly nice one that took about the first 40 minutes off my creative clock.
I'm now up to 17 stones painted, and today's finished result can be seen above.
Heart Stone designs are very popular for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, etc.
For the second stone — now that it seems that I've decided to see if I can't do two stones every day — I once again had to scrabble around through my plain stone bins to try to find something suitable.
So I came across this fairly flat, vaguely heart-shaped stone that was nice and smooth, and even though they're somewhat prosaic, these heart stones are very popular for Mother's Day... and Mother's Day is not that far away now.
Building out the design with a white starburst ring...
For whatever reason — even though it is usually difficult for me to sell any Alchemy Stones in my online shops — the heart stones are one of the few things that do sell on a fairly regular basis. I guess hearts don't require "understanding."
The designs are fairly predictable on these; I paint a somewhat larger red heart (or sometimes pink) in the center of the stone, and then build the normal geometric Alchemy Stone mandala pattern around that, usually using white, pink, gold, and red.
And there you have it! This is actually a larger stone, as heart stones go... will probably sell for about $40 or so.
This one turned out fairly well all in all, and will be near the top of the list of things I need to get listed on Etsy, once it gets its finish coat.
Day 41 Summary and Social Media Bits:
Finished another TWO new stones today: As usual, a Retreat Stone, and then a relatively large heart stone for Mother's Day stock!
Daily Twitter/X post: Check. Just did a Happy Easter tweet.
Daily Facebook Page post: Check. Another Easter greeting post.
Daily Instagram post: Check. New post with a very large stone from previous work!
Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; a decent day, glad I did my creative work early in the day before I got really tired! Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!
Day 41 completed; really looking forward to getting this growing batch of painted stones finished so I can start sharing photos of "new work" to social media. Evaluating my "blank" stone situation: What I have left now is either rather small (have plenty of those) or quite large, meaning they would be 2-3 day jobs.
I'm not inclined to pain small stones at the moment, mostly because I needs to get my new paints in before putting energy into those. Maybe it's time for me to take a walk here on our local beach and just look for more medium sized stones... I'd like to get about 10-12 more because it's the size (will sell for $25-50, mostly) where there are the most gaps in our show stock bins.
I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!
Thank You!

Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a part time living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.
