The 100-Day Project, Day 29 — Little Crativity, Lots of Shoveling!

in GEMS8 months ago

Day 29 of the 100-Day Project, and I am still here.

As expected, today was not much of a day for creativity.

A design from late last year

Our friend arrived with a trailer filled with good garden topsoil around Noon today, and so we set about unloading the trailer which was probably about 10,000lbs (4,500kg) in weight.

Whereas I am quite used to gardening, it's not "heavy load" stuff like that, so I am good and sore this evening.

This was today's "real" creativity!

Long term challenges like these sometimes call of a lot of determination, and today would be one of those "sometimes," as all I really want to do right now is lay down and read a good book!

Still, determined to accomplish something!

Another stone for the "retreat order"

Day 29 Stone Painting:

About the only thing I felt inclined to deal with on the creativity front was to paint another stone for the big retreat order.

So far, this is actually my favorite!

I considered finding another stone to paint, but just didn't have the inclination, so this represents today's efforts.

A bit thin, I know!

Day 29 Summary and Social Media Bits:

Finished on new stone today: Continuing to work on the large order for the women's retreat... up to 6-of-30 completed. Not unhappy with the progress there.

Need to also be thinking about the printed materials to be inserted in the gift bags I will be providing. Yes, this is a "full service" operation!

Daily Twitter/X post: Check. Wrote an Equinox post, rather than a stone post.
Daily Facebook Page post: Check. Once again, something was already posted for the day, so I was off the hook!
Daily Instagram post: Check. Equinox post.

Other Stuff: As usual, this Hive post; mostly dealing with a pile of dirt; Daily shoutout to @gillianpearce!

Day 29 completed; Happy Spring, world! Whereas the Cryptosphere continues tanking, I'm doing my best to enjoy the new growth of spring!

Meanwhile, my wife — who's a graphic artist — has started working on a new logo and "appearance" for the Alchemy Stones "brand," and that's pretty exciting. I feel like we could definitely use a refresh!

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!

Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a part time living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.

Wow. You have such exacting standards for yourself. 😍

I think that's really impressive that you, not only managed to paint a stone for your big order, after all that time in the garden, but you got your posts done as well.

I'd give that a gold star, A++, 11/10. 💪🍾🎉🏆

I've always had a great deal of trouble with discipline... because I am — in my essence — pretty lazy. So if I leave anything "open" it's akin to an invitation to do nothing, 95% of the time.

So yes, I'm being hard on myself for this challenge, with the hope that I may just develop a little more productive habit that doesn't always feel forced.

We'll see! Today is Day 30 for me...
