RE: Being domesticated: a cat's philanthropy.Ser domésticado: la filantropía de un gato.(Eng/Esp)

The title really captures the essence of the topic: can a cat give you love and affection in return for nothing? I believe they only need to get to know you a little to give of themselves unconditionally. They are undoubtedly adorable, and each has a very distinct personality... all they want is for their freedom to be respected.

I love cats, but sometimes I’m just scared that if I go out of town, I won’t be able to take care of them

Having pets means taking responsibility for them. If you decide to get one someday and need to travel, you have to figure out who can look after it—perhaps a professional pet-sitting service, or a family member... or, if you are young and want to travel, put off adopting one... or two, or three... 😅
