What an amazing turn out to our first side-contest in the GU community, over 70 introduction posts in a span of a week. Great to see how well the community got kickstarted and how smooth it is running right now with more new users joining daily and becoming active.
A big thank you to @strawhat and @hivegc for sponsoring this contest with 100 HBD. Please make sure to check out the Hive Gaming Community where anything gaming goes as long as it's original content! Peakd link, Hive.blog link to the community and a link to their Discord if you have any questions or just want to connect with the community.
With the post rewards of the contest post we managed to collect 260 HBD which will be divided between the 5 top intro posts we decided upon. Keep in mind this decision was not made for the post quality and effort alone but there were other factors involved as well such as how active certain users were and how well the post did on its own so we could spread the rewards out a bit more.
Without further ado, here are the results:
#1 @entrepidus : Introducing Entrepidus, Maker of Lists
#2 @vaipraonde : Introduction ... GODadam + My Last Opening Pack
#3 @fakemews : FakeMews Introduction
#4 @bernardinetti : GODS UNCHAINED - Introduction @BERNARDINETTI
#5 @cagalli : Introduction - Cagalli
#6 @squirrelacus : Introduction to Squirrelacus
#7 @occultis : Introduction: Myself and the Educational project for GU community
#8 @trippymane : Introduction to Gods Unchained (Hive) by @trippymane
Note: this really wasn't easy with all 8 spots being difficult to decide but we do hope you all had fun and enjoyed the curation on the posts as well.
The rewards:
#1 @entrepidus : 1x Polyhymnia, Aetheric Hydra + 50 HBD + 48 HBD
#2 @vaipraonde : 30 HBD + 32 HBD

Curator +/ Moderator +/Onboarder Gods On Chain Role
Now as I've already mentioned a few times here and there, I'm looking for a few curators and moderators for the Gods On Chain community. I'll also be looking for some onboarders who are interested in bringing more players to Hive and I'll go through each role's responsibilities and tasks so you can decide what you want to apply for but since it won't be that many slots I have to mention that I'd rather invite those who can do both curation and moderation instead of only moderation.
Curation
For this role you have to get familiar with anti-plagiarism tools and other anti-abuse activity which we have the tools in our Discord server that we can guide you through. On Hive we value originality and the fact that anyone here can monetize content with a click of a button it's important that identity thefts, content thefts, etc, don't get rewarded. As a curator you'll be looking out for all of these things and judge content based on quality, effort and social activity of the users and some other factors before you nominate them for our votes in the Discord. It's not as strict and much as it sounds, we have over 60 community curators in our community incubation and most get it right the first few weeks.
Moderation
For moderation as mentioned we'd prefer curators to also pick up this job, since you're already out there picking up posts and looking through the community you should also be able to check for general rules and guidelines that may be broken. These are of course yet to be written in the community sidebar, but I'm sure you know the general rules that may apply such as hate, discrimination, etc, all those things no one really wants in a community. Moderators will be able to choose to mute specific posts as a warning but can also mute authors if they continue to ignore the warnings which means no one will be able to see their posts and comments in the community. (They'll still be on the blockchain of course but not many use Hive without the front-ends.)
For curation and moderation we do daily/weekly (depends on the communities activity) compilation posts where we highlight the best posts of that day (chosen by the curators) and with those posts we can reward curators and moderators a little extra for their work and effort put into the community. You can see what this looks like in the @ocd and @lovesniper daily posts.
Onboarding
This one will be a bit harder to get into as it will require a layer of trust. The perks of being an onboarding in OCD are great but that's why we also have to keep it strict. As an onboarder you'll be able to generate your own invite links for free Hive accounts provided by us and then you'll be able to nominate your onboarded users for curation while also being able to nominate your own posts for curation in limited capacity. This is to incentivize bringing new people to Hive and them having a good start to their Hive journey so they can find out what they've been missing out on by not being here.
The rewards for onboarders are a bit higher as each invite link automatically generates beneficiaries going your way from the posts of the onboarded users (not mandatory, can be removed by the users at any time), if they don't remove them it can stack to decent sized rewards the more active and decent content creators you invite and curate. We also do compilation posts of the onboarded users similar to community curation+moderation where onboarders receive 1 time rewards for new onboarded users. Along with being able to nominate their own posts a few times per week (curation there also depends on quality+effort and how much rewards the posts may have already made).
We're looking forward to see the amount of applicants from the GU community who are interested in joining the OCD team. :)
Please apply in this post with at least these couple points filled out.
#1 Do you have any past experience in curation &/ moderation?
#2 How many hours per day would you say you have to spend on curation &/ moderation?
Rest will depend on your past activity or other previous history outside of Hive which is lot more strict for onboarders, but feel free to apply for that position here as well.
