For the 100th time, I’m a last born for a reason. I know I’ve abused this title but then I’m sorry I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. I was actually surprised to see people write about how much they love cleaning and can’t go days without cleaning. Others even said they clean everyday which made really surprised. That’s so admirable. Well, then there’s me.
The thing with me is I really have no interest in cleaning. Honestly what concerns a last born with cleaning? Unfortunately or fortunately, I find myself in the midst of only brothers. So do I like cleaning? No, but do I clean? Yes. If it was left with me alone, I would just do a general house cleaning once in three months. I’m not even joking.
My mom said anytime she comes to my room, it’s as if a ghost lives there and that’s because I am very organized as a person.
Where I’ll put my pen today, you will still come back to meet it next month. Any slippers that have been worn outside is not allowed to enter my room. I could go and on but the point is, I deeply know I hate cleaning with the whole of my left ventricle so then I try my best to keep my room tidy and organized all the time. How I wish I could say the same for those two brothers of mine and my whole house in general.
Outside of my room is a whole world on its own. You know how brothers behave, disorganization everywhere. I don’t get the thing with my brothers. You took this mug from the shelf to drink something. Will you die, if you clean it afterwards and put it back where you took it? It’s even worse when you tell them to do the right thing. Sometimes it’s just so annoying so I also act unconcerned and be in my room for days. That’s when my mom would have to call me about 76 times to come out to clean. Apart from the fact that I do it reluctantly, I actually like it when the house is neat, it has some positive effect on my energy and sanity.
You know what’s funny??, when I go to my aunty’s house??? Oh stop! I remember this particular day my cousin asked me to sweep the living room. If it were one of my brothers who asked me to do that, I would have used my eyes to spell his name or if it was my mom, she would have said it over 40 times but my cousin? I swept the living room three times, literally. Just for show off. It was when I stayed there for years that they got to know that even I had my way, I wouldn’t even hold broom for the rest of the year.
I’m not sure how you all clean every blessed day, but I’ve been taking notes since the beginning of this week and maybe I’ll practice all that I’ve learned from you.
