Glad you enjoyed your stay in Belgium!
Kriek is something typical Belgian, haven't seen it that often abroad. Although, I guess that if you really want, you can order it online, although it will cost rather much I guess.
I agree that Ghent is absolutely fantastic! Used to study there a couple of years :D
