Again, a little delay in this weekly post, but without further due, here it is! Finally returned home, and will start battling again, as soon all my rented cards finish the cooldown period; it's been a while, don't think I had ever spent this much time without regular battling!
Since my alt continued on the battlefield, will showcase one of the battles suiting this week's prompt for the battle mage secrets challenge:

This ruleset eliminates all legendary monsters from the battlefield, which limits your choices in some degree, but doesn't change the tactics that much; that is, unless your gameplay style heavily relies on legendary monsters. With so many cards available in wild league, the choices are plentiful. Off to the battle, shall we?

Another ruleset in this battle, Amplify: all monsters have the apmplify ability, providing extra damage for thorns, magic reflect and return fire.
My strategy and lineup:
- Helius Matriarch as the summoner: probably the best soulbound summoner: being from the dragon splinter lets you choose any other splinter (life, in this case), plus a speed boost. And of course, the ability to play with gladiators, the strongest cards ingame!
- Goblin Mech as tank: high HP and shield, and a strong melee attack; the only downside is the low speed, partially compensated by the summoner's choice
- Marisol Contuma: an awesome offtank, with reach, inspire and the bloodlust ability
- Silvershield Assassin: double hitter to clean the backline, with a melee bost provided by the offtank.
- Djinn Renova: decent magic damage dealer, and with the triage ability
- Sand Worm: very high melee damage, with the extra boost from inspire; also targeting the backline
- War Pegasus: a fast flying ranged attack, great as a backliner given that it might dodge some of the attacks, and with the shatter ability removing armor, perfect to clear the way yo may tank and offtank
My opponent went with Conqueror Jacek, one of my favourite summoners, with the speed buff; the scattershot can be helpfull to negate any taunt strategies. Arkemis the bear in the first position, a strong tank, followed bytinderlock, a ranged attacker that can attack from first position too and decreases magic damage. Two more magic damage dealers followed, technomancer (low attack but with blast) and djinn inferni (high magical damage). The backline was complete with a strong ranged attacker, lava launcher, and a taunt, Iidri.
Given that part of my strategy was attacking the backline, taunt wasn't a problem at all. The scattershot could play in my advantage or not, depending on lady luck!

On round one, I was able to clear the backline taunt, Iidri; and as second round starts, Marisol makes its first victim, finishing my opponent's tank, and triggering bloodlust: +1 to all stats!

Round 2 finishes with my sneak attackers clearing the lava launcher, one of the stronger enemy cards; only three cards remaining.

And as round 3 start, Marisol was the first card to strike, and with the extra hit point from bloodlust, clears the current tank card, Tinderlock: bloodlust triggers again! And with only two cards remaining with 3 hp each, it was game over and an easy win!

And what are your strategies to this ruleset? How heavily do you depend on legendaries?
