I am not familiar with the kakapo bird the main bird I am familiar with
in that part of the World is the Kiwi bird, another non-flying bird.
The kakapo looks similar to a parakeet.
Yes I love the Maori mythology too. Yes, I always knew about the Kiwi bird and learned about the Kakapo later in my life. I'm glad you got to learn about the Kakapo.
