Tyler's Story, Reinventing Circumstances.

in #risingstar7 days ago

How are you, friends? I hope and wish you have a lovely afternoon as always. Dear friends, this time I wanted to bring you a new story. Today I dedicated it to card E107 Tyler. As on other occasions, I based the story primarily on the card's art. With that said, let's begin. I hope you like it.

Well, friends, let me tell you that Tyler was a renowned pianist who lived every day with the idea that the piano was more than a skill; it was part of who he was. He always lived in his own world, or perhaps a bubble, of simple routines, with daily practice sessions and casual conversations with a few musician friends. The truth is, he didn't need much more. For him, life itself took second place; the most important thing above all was playing the piano. In fact, for this reason, he hasn't married yet and has lived alone for many years without a partner because they haven't been his priority. He always says there will be time for that later.

What he didn't know is that the near-perfect bubble he'd lived in for the past few years was about to burst or disappear. Let me tell you, you see. One morning, as he was climbing the stairs of his apartment building, something didn't go as expected. It had rained and the steps were wet, so he slipped and fell several steps down. This untimely fall left him with a hand injury that prevented him from playing the piano. This soon became the trigger for an anxiety attack. Overnight, what had defined him for so long became unattainable, and the routine of playing became a constant reminder of what he had lost.

He spent several very bad days, almost thinking everything was lost. At first, he would spend hours staring at his piano, not really knowing what to do. Between musings about life and moments of awkwardness in which he found himself trying to remember the rhythm of his favorite pieces without the familiar accompaniment of the keyboard, he began to think of another way to express himself.

But he couldn't find anything. He had been a pianist all his life, but what could he do now with so much free time? He wanted something related to music. He started thinking and realized that in recent years he hadn't composed a single song; he had focused on playing songs by other famous pianists. So, it was here that he discovered a way to kill time and remain active in what he loved. Now he was going to use his free time to compose new music. It turned out that, somehow, he could reinvent himself by composing. But the process wasn't as quick or as polished as one might expect.

The clumsiness was evident in every new note and in every attempt to capture emotions in scores that seemed to dance with uncertainty. He was already rusty, so to speak; he couldn't even remember the last song he composed, so it was almost like starting over. There were days when the ideas seemed like random sparks, and others when everything seemed like a complicated plot, but he never gave up. Little by little, the first compositions appeared like sketches of a different future, where technique gave way to the simplicity of feeling.

You know. From then on, time passed slowly. Between sessions in which he made mistakes and blushed at every error, the transformation was more silent than dramatic. He learned to laugh at himself, to accept that clumsiness could also be part of the creative process. The piano was still there, waiting for a return that wasn't a fight against the past, but now leaving him with a message, or rather an invitation to rediscover what he loved to do without so much pressure.

After several months, almost a year, of composing, the day finally arrived. He sat down at his instrument again, but now he could play well again. What had seemed like a defeat became a new way of expressing himself. Without the pressure of achieving unattainable perfection, everything transformed into a story of ordinary days, mistakes and successes, in which art showed itself for what it is: sometimes clumsy, sometimes surprising, but always sincere. Of course, he now has many of his own songs, and now he will not only play other people's music but will also commit to himself and play his own music. Sometimes stumbles make us better.

Friends, thank you so much for reading. See you soon with a new post. Have a great day, everyone.
