Now that read my chosen title again.. chaos is by definition unorganized! :) But Organized Chaos is the prompt for this week's Qurator's Photo Quest, and although I don't think I can exactly show it in a single photo, this prompt quickly reminded me of this square.

Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakesh's mains square, is the perfect example of pure chaos in an organized way. During the day, the stands are far sparse, and it's easy to walk around. You have places for the fruit vendors, the juice vendors...

Even for the snake charmers!
The square is huge, and there doesn't seem to be apparent limits, but all the different stalls seem to be grouped in specific places.
But as the golden hour approaches... so does the chaos. It's the same stalls, similar locations, but the food scene emerges and every stall seems to spread out.

And the square becomes alive at sunset. Locals and tourists alike mingle in what is probably the liveliest place in Marrakesh after sunset!

Chaos? For sure, especially if you dislike crowds. But if you can tolerate them, a great overall mood? Also true, for sure. And yes, with a little bit of organization, wether you're just grabbing a bite, or playing games with the locals!

Part of the city's charm, no doubt. And a place where I loved to wander around in the evenings when I visited.
How organized is the chaos? Well, if you visit... let me know what you think! ;)
