Thanks to Easter I was able to do a mini getaway to one of my usual places; it felt short (as usual), but being in contact with old friends and nature is enough to call it days well spent. And this particular season brings an added bonus: Springtime!

I particularly like to roam around nature at this time, where everything is blooming!

Here I have the typical mediterranean vegetation, with brooms, horsebush (like the ones above; I think this is the correct translation, but not 100% sure) and heathers all around.
Despite these photos, weather was a crap during these days. I took advantage of a few hours without rain to snap these photos, but most of the time, the weather was either rainy or heavily clouded.

Which basically ruined my plans of getting some more decent bird photos for the #featheredfriends community. They were all around as well, no doubts about it: Spring time is also mating time, and they sure are vocal around here.
But it was hard to get photos with decent light in the (very) brief non rainy periods. Oh well, it's always an excuse for more nature incursions! Maybe I'll see another fox again! And hopefully she'll not be as fast and I'll be able to get her on camera.

The clouded skies at least provide some contrast for the photos. Blooming trees are better with clear skies, but can't say I dislike the effect like this:

Oh well, we gotta enjoy what we have, right? The scents were there, the flowers too, and the fresh air was enough to recharge batteries for the coming weeks.

Can't wait to be back on the fields again. Every time I do this, I think I have to do this more often; have to fight my usual procrastination and plan more stuff like this!

Enjoy the coming week! :)
