The fancy dining experience

in #lifestyle4 days ago

This was last month while I was in Mumbai, I visited this place with my son on his birthday. The place is hyped up so we thought of trying it out. When we entered I saw that the hype was justifiable, but somehow I did not feel good about the place and I told my son, even though it is very fancy somehow I am not getting good vibes and we should go to another place. He told me in return that it's all in my mind and I should try it out. It was his day so his say after all and we settled down.

The ambiance was no doubt amazing, it was something very different, not that I have experienced it before. There was music, which was a little loud for a fine dining restaurant. It felt like more of a pub. I had a look at the menu and it was ridiculously priced. The menu was very limited, there were not many options and the pricing of each dish from entree to main course and drinks everything was sky high.

Anyways we were hungry so we ordered 2 starters and 2 main course dish. When the starters arrived, the quantity was unbelievable, for the price it was a joke. There were some 4 small pieces of chicken. Then the rest of the food kept coming and one after another it was a disappointment. We ordered in all 5 dishes just for 2 people and yet we were half hungry so one can imagine the quantity. And I am not even a big eater. Finally we decided to wrap up and pay the bill.

The ambiance is no doubt amazing

The best thing I enjoyed here was this coffee based cocktail, not exactly espresso martini, but something like it, their own created. It was served also in a very fancy way.

For the food I was so disappointed that I did not even think of taking any pictures. In the end they asked me for a feedback and I told them what I felt. They did take it with a smile, that was one good thing.

After coming home I had to eat again as I was feeling hungry, and I was laughing to myself that even after paying so much money I have to eat at home. Later on I checked their google reviews and there I saw that almost every customer was complaining about the food quantity for the price they are charging. I wish I had read the reviews before going there. We had booked the place last minute and it was all in hurry so we did not realize of checking it. Anyways I did enjoy the ambiance that I cannot deny, and it was one of a kind experience as well for me.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

The place does indeed look beautiful. I think they should take the reviews seriously and improve their food quantity, don't think that will be much of a cost given the nice ambiance the place has unless there is some strategy at play here that one is not aware of. Maybe the small food quantity is a marketing strategy for customers to talk about them :D

That sounds frustrating. A great vibe can’t make up for tiny portions and steep prices. Sorry the birthday dinner didn’t live up to expectations, but thanks for sharing the honest reality, it helps others avoid the same surprise.

The cocktail presentation really caught my eye, but those tiny portions for that price would throw me off fast 😂. Ambiance only goes so far when you leave still hungry
