Tomorrow is a big day, I am having a party at a hotel inviting my friends to celebrate my wedding anniversary. The Anniversary is on 30th November but on that day me and hubby plan to spend the day just the two of us. My Son has also come down for a few days to be a part of the celebrations and he will leave back on 29th, so the party with family and friends is tomorrow, since it's a Friday and holiday for us. I wanted my Mom also to travel to Muscat to be with me for the celebrations but then lately her health was not keeping very well so the Doctor advised her not to travel. She is 81 and I cannot take any risk with her health, as it is she is very fragile. Last year she was around and it felt so good to have her presence. It's her birthday also today, so I am feeling all the more miserable.
Normally I do not have such grand celebrations, but this year we will complete 30 years and that's why I want to celebrate. This celebration plan was actually for the 25th Anniversary, 5 years ago, but Covid struck in that year and we could not do it, so might as well now before I get too old to enjoy these kind of celebrations and moreover prepare for it.
I started doing the preparations well in advance so I am pretty much relaxed, nothing much has to be done now except for get dressed up and reach the venue and just ensure that the event happens smoothly.
This is the venue of our celebrations. We got some good deal on this place.
This is going to be the back drop decoration. I mixed and matched some designs that I found on the internet and then requested the decorator to do it my way, taking some of her ideas as well.
And this is going to be our cake. The lady who is going to bake the cake sent me this design and I instantly liked it so no changes here, and going ahead with as is, except for the initials which will be V & N. It's my pearly anniversary, so I have this pearl theme incorporated on the backdrop and the cake.
So as I mentioned everything is set, I just need to ensure it's all done on time and efficiently. Wow, 30 years, it still feels unreal to me. I can really say time passes quickly and if we do not make every moment of life count then for surely we will regret it in future.
