I didn't have any dream like you and I never wanted to be anything. But I tried my best and almost secured the best position in academic career. Instead of it I have some regret because I lost 3 extra year even if I read in a top university of my country. I had many options but I ended up like that. I think in that case I can only blame my fate if I want. So, I think you don't need to worry too much about what happened. Just chill. I can hope that there will be good days for us. I shared it because I think you should not regret for what happened as it's already past.
