The Barça president understands that, at that time, the team will be playing for the league title and that, therefore, it is very important that it is played at home, due to the role of the fans.
If it were impossible to play the classic in one of the club's stadiums, Laporta's next 'favourite' option would be Montilivi, a very difficult option, because Girona plays at home that day, against Villarreal. And then the options of playing the game against Real Madrid away (La Cartuja, Wembley...) would be explored, also looking to make money.
However, at this ordinary meeting of the Board it was reported that Limak continues to insist that he will meet the deadlines and will have finished the first phase of the renovation of the field by the end of April, and that the stadium will be sufficiently prepared to face the League matches against Villarreal and Real Madrid, the two domestic competition matches that he must play at home in the month of May.
