Which platform you are using for the investment in US market?
I am trying to diversify my portfolio. Its small but I think putting some money in the US market is safe bet in long term.

        Yes diversifying to US market is actually good. One thing is that it can give is dual benefit, Dollar Appreciation as well as Stock Increase. But mind it, unlike Indian Stock, US stock can fall to any amount, so be cautious.

        I use IndMoney to invest in US stocks.

              Thanks, I have one more query. Will SEBI be the authority to monitor these transactions. And will the same taxes gets applied as short term and long term gains?

                    Yes, Income Tax will be able to see your Capital Gains. Short term capital gain tax I.e. before 24 months will be taxed as per Income tax. And the long term capital gain tax, I.e. holding more than 24 months will attract 20% tax.
