🕺 Welcome to the Scholar and Scribe Invitational 🕺
The Invitational is our bi-weekly, super-duper, writing contest. It is where we match quills and draw blood all for the sake of the craft. We all know a 'friendly' competition never hurts anyone, much, especially when it can be used as a platform to improve your writing. 🙌
🥳 Last Invitational Winners 🥳
🥇 Gold: 2 HSBI, 300 Ecency points, 50 SCHOLAR, 3 SCRIBE
@zakludick - Heroic Deeds and Heroic Figures
This week's prompt, theme and genre was just too much on the nose for me. The hosts might as well have been pointing at me and said "Hey! Write something already! This is what you write! There is no excuse!"
🥈 ** Silver: 1 HSBI, 200 Ecency points4, 40 SCHOLAR, 2 SCRIBE**
@alonicus - The Coppersmith's Kingdom
Hopefully this tale ticks both those boxes ! But I also wanted to show that not all heroic fantasy is medieval-themed, and it's not just knights in shining armour who rescue princesses.

🤺 Prompt 🤺
🎥 Genre: Thriller
🎨 Theme: Action
We're going with a different approach with this one. Mixing and matching the genre and theme to try and come up with fun new combos. This time around the prompt is very straight forward and honest. But also fun. Which is the crux of writing anyway. I still think the nuance of freedom can be harder to write for than the shackles of constraint. But to each their own.
May the odds - and your creative energy - be ever in your favor!
We'd like to give out a big shout-out and thank you to Ecency for sponsoring this contest! 🤗
A big thank you to @melinda010100 as well for the seamless communication.
