Hello to my fellow community members,
In summer, whether you are a small child or someone who goes to the office, we all face heat waves. This mostly happens during the time of the day when the sun is right above us that is, from around 12 PM to 3 PM.
So friends, if you want to do anything, make sure that you do not go outside during this time. Whatever things you need, try to get them early in the morning. Wake up early and get everything you need for the day, whether it’s milk or anything else. Avoid going out between 12 PM to 3 PM as that is what I do.
In case you really need something during that time, you can use apps like Blinkit or Zepto. I personally use them too, and I order things from there. This help me from getting exposed to the heat wave in the afternoon.
And if you are a parent, then make sure your children do not go outside during that time. Of course, some children come back from school around that time but that’s a compulsion and it is necessary. But after that, do not let them go out again. If they want to play, take them to the park in the evening instead. Let them play in the evening when the weather is cooler.
And I try not to switch between different temperatures too quickly. If you are in a room with the air conditioner on, do not go outside suddenly. If you need to go out to get something, first turn off the air conditioner and let the room temperature become normal. Only then go outside. Because when the temperature changes suddenly, the body reacts to it, and it can harm you.
Eating your lunch early is a very good option. If you finish your lunch by around 1:30 or 2:00 PM, then after that you can take some rest. You can take an afternoon nap for about an hour. I personally take afternoon naps very often.
We can't miss the importance of water here. If you are in a city where heat is too much then drinking enough water is one of the main things that I should not even mention but still I am saying it. Also if you are comfortable take loose clothes and it will help as well.
So these are some of the things I do to protect myself from the heat. What do you do? I would love to know! If there’s something that I’m not doing and it could be helpful for me, then I would like to try that too.
