In this digital world of today, the application we often find ourselves using on a daily basis says a lot about our character, how we live our life, how we work and how we tend to entertain ourselves or manage stress. Some might tend to disagree with me. But this is very true. Most of the apps we use each day is due to our lifestyle. Probably for work related matters an individual might constantly be on his laptop using the Microsoft word, excel, publisher, access and many more. Meanwhile, an individual might gear more to apps like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube or Instagram in terms of relaxation. To just unwind and relieve stress.
So these apps we often use tell a lot about the kind of person we are, whether work driven, or the kind of entertainment he/she prefers. Cause there are some people that prefer movie box to most social media apps when it comes to entertainment. So pick your poison.
Also, when looking at the mobile versus the laptop. I would say the mobile phones dominate the laptops. It is so easier for one to reach for their phone, or carry it around as it is very portable and packed with addictive apps that can keep an individual engaged from morning till night. Apps like WhatsApp, TikTok ,YouTube,Instagram and X are often the most used apps in our mobile devices. Personally I think my most used apps on my mobile device would be WhatsApp, YouTube, Google docs and chrome.
The YouTube app especially, is one app I find quite engaging and can spend almost my whole day in. With the unique way it is designed to offer short contents that are very engaging, educative and transformative. I’ve learnt so much through that app. Important things that I would have otherwise paid money to learn if YouTube was not available. Everyday, I silently thank that genius who came up with the idea to invent the YouTube app.
Also, with the recent upgrade on WhatsApp being Meta AI, I find the WhatsApp app to be quite engaging and educational for me. WhatsApp was the first social media app that brought the AI to our comfort zone, where we could chat with it, ask it a quick question and do so many things with it. So yes, I tend to spend a lot of time there.
The last but not the least, the Google chrome and docs. Well, I will start by saying I am committed to the ecosystem and I engage in hive almost everyday, and there are no better apps to access hive than through Google chrome. This would be my number one most used app. I use it all the time, to blog, engage with other writers, participate in contests and so much more. While the Google Docs is like my personal notebook. As a writer, I use this app very often. It has amazing features that aids me as a writer better and helps me to articulate my thoughts properly.
Discovering our most used apps in mobiles or laptops is essential in tracking what we use our time to do in the digital space. This can help us eliminate task and apps that are time wasting and don't add any value or meaning to our lives.
