Technology; A Blessing Or A Curse

in Indiaunited12 days ago

The introduction of technology has been a huge blessing to humanity; it has revolutionized the way we live and work and also connect humans with one another. Technology has interestingly paved the way for different innovations that have really transformed and impacted nearly every aspect of daily life.

It has made a lot of tasks, both in the workplace and at school, more efficient; we now have more access to various kinds of information at our disposal, and connections with people around the world have been more seamless. For me, one of the most remarkable advancements in technology has been in the realm of communication. With the invention of the cell phone, distance no longer became a barrier.

I remember how difficult it was for my parents to get information from home since they were miles away from home; they were always going to the post office to send letters, which then would take weeks to deliver, but this innovation has made it possible for people to stay in touch no matter where they are in the world. The introduction of cell phones has bridged the gaps and brought people closer together, and this has truly made the world feel smaller.

But we know that in life whatever has an advantage also has a disadvantage, and technology is also a part of it.

While we cannot deny technological innovations and how they have undeniably made life easier and more convenient for people around the world, we also cannot deny and ignore their complexities and challenges.

One classical example is the duality of the Internet. While On one hand, the Internet has been a tremendous blessing; it has granted us access to a world of information and connected different people of different races across vast distances. On the other hand, we cannot deny its consequences and complications. Especially the social media, which has in numerous ways exposed a darker side of human behavior.

It is as though the social media space doesn't have boundaries, and the annoying part is how this younger generation has sacrificed common decency for likes, trends, and fleeting validation. It's so sad that social media has made the concept of "morals" to be tossed into the wind.I think technology itself is neutral; what makes it feel like a blessing or curse depends on how it has been used.

I feel we as individuals really need to take a step back and reflect on how we need to properly engage with these tools.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗

This is just it, social media is not a bad thing, it all depends on how we make use of it.
