I remember when the year just started. I was super motivated to lock in and work so hard to achieve the goals I had set. I'll admit that some of that zeal has gone down a little, but the zeal is still there.
Most people can relate to that feeling of setting goals for the new year and giving timelines within the year to achieve those goals. It's a source of motivation.

When I look back at the 6 months that have elapsed so far, I would say that I haven't done much towards my goals.
One of my goals for the year was to save up a specific amount of money. I was expecting that by this time of the year, I would have achieved half of that, but I'm still far from that. I know that there's still time in the year to achieve it and my intention is to work towards that.
I also planned to learn a skill. I started learning the skill but I've been slow with it and I haven't put in as much effort as I thought I would. I'll admit that learning this skill has not been easy, and mastering it would require more sacrifices from me. Both financial sacrifices and time sacrifices.
There is however one goal that I have managed to achieve so far and I am proud of that. I decided that I would be reading more books this year. I decided that by the middle of the year, I would have read at least 3 books. I am glad that I have been able to read 4, and it has been amazing. During this period, I developed immense love for books, and it just kept growing. I discovered that there's so much knowledge in books, there's a whole world in books. I recommend that people read books more.
In conclusion, I intend to read more books this year. My target is 9 books in total this year, and I hope that I can exceed that.
I also intend to woke harder to better learn the skill I want to learn. Regarding my savings, I'll just try to maintain my consistency and do better. Like I said before , there's still time in the year to achieve more.
