It is amazing how we humans evolve over the years, I have had my share of setting new year resolutions but it has been on hold for years now. Every individual is goal driven, there is something we desire to become or achieve. We break it down into smaller objectives to make it achievable, this I have done but few years back, it all changed.
At some point, I got tired of the structure, It felt fixed and I was stuck in it. I wanted something new, unknown would be preferable. The standard I had set over the years, have made it easy for me to fixate on one objective, while there is so much more. I live in the known, which is one of the reasons why I assimilated setting of new year resolution culture. Doing so, I get to itemize what needs to be done and how I'm going to go about it.
The thing about chasing goals is that, it doesn't really come the way we imagined. It comes with little surprise, while few people will take time to explore and embrace the little changes, most people get disappointed. I have had my share of it, which is one of the reasons I decided to leave the culture behind and choose a new path.
So instead of setting goals, I decided to let myself loose. I didn't want to be stuck chasing one thing, I wanted to explore, I wanted live. What will be the point of living, if we spend too much time chasing goals? there is always a goal to achieve, why live for one only? So the narrative of goal chasing changed and it becomes something I never thought would be possible. To explore the world of the unknown and amidst the chaos I found things that pinned my interest.
I never had it in mind to dive into crypto space any further this year but I did. I took extra lessons, paid classes. Which improved my trade output and my knowledge of the crypto space. With it, I was able to raise cool funds which assisted in empowering some of my wishes. I have so many but, I wanted to go for something within my capacity, something out of the ordinary.
Though the planning process didn't start this year but it was implemented this year. By January, I established a fabric business, a brand called degs fabrics. It started as just something I was curious about and slowly, I made it happen. I have spent quality time offline to increase its reach online and offline. Embracing the life of an entrepreneur became a lifestyle I enjoyed.
Few years ago, I wrote on a subject called systematic capital building process. I remember when I used to fixate on my grand scheme of building a self sustaining livestock farm but it was beyond my reach. And anytime I think of it, I felt drained. So I started listening to my own advice, the fact that you can't achieve a specific goal right now, doesn't mean you can't achieve something else.
I wouldn't say my priorities have changed, let just say I'm more willing to compromise than fixate on a specific goal. While chase my main goal that happens to be a dream of mine, I also take time to dive into other achievable goals. It doesn't really matter how many turns I take, as long all road leads to my main goal, it would be worth the struggle.
