A Tradition or Ritual That Means a Lot to you ?, What is your honest take on this? What are things you do for this share with others? You can write about it in as much detail as you want.

Hello✨️, amazing #indiaunited, welcome to my blog. How is your day going? I am excited to participate in this week’s prompt. This write-up was carried out this morning while I was reminiscing on pictures of some of the children we celebrated in our local church recently. That action led me to this write-up.
My Honest Take On The Tradition Of Celebrating Children's Birthday In My Local Church
For me, traditions are norms that are deeply rooted in people's way of life and living. It can be their way of dressing, praying, and the food they eat, among others.
It happened that there was a need for a children's welfare unit in our local church, and I was selected as one of the facilitators to make that programme a success. The programme was commissioned in the early twenties, so my team and I dived into work. Ideas started dropping, and before we knew it, we had more than fifty children in the facility to cater for their welfare. In our weekly meetings, I suggested adding birthday celebrations as part of our events to bond with these children to the council of leaders, and it was given a nod. A few months later, it became a tradition.
The Facilitators
We started by collecting data on all the children and scheduling their birthdays on our Google scheduler for reminders. We raised funds through various forums and individual donations. The facilitators were the planners for each event. They also decide on the gift for the celebrant/s/s, depending on the availability of funds and the number of celebrants for the month.
Does This Tradition Mean A Lot to Me?
This tradition meant so much to me because of the expectations, hope, bonding and happiness it resonates in the hearts of these little ones. The cheers, the smiles, giggles, the unlimited fun and the desire for more. Some will automatically become Oliver Twist that day, while for some children, that day is perfect and need not be missed.
That day reveals some hidden character of these children. You will get to know them better because their mood will be at its peak. So we do stay very active with them to contain their wild moments.
What A Perfect Plan for A Child's Birthday Looks Like.
First, we send a notification on the general platform within the last week of the month preceding the new month to announce the celebrant/s. The budget is also shared with donors and other forums. Midmonth, a pre-birthday congratulatory message is shared with the celebrant/s parents to prepare their minds. On the day, the celebrant/s in their best apparel are celebrated among other children present. A lot of fun, games, dancing, wishes, eating and drinking do take place. Finally, there is a gift presentation to all the celebrant/s.
Birthdays are celebrated once a year. I have watched these children talk about their birthday experience, which blew my mind. It has also reminded me that when we give them attention and care for them very well. It leaves in them a sense of belonging, confidence and charisma to live right, respectfully and knowledgeably.
Simply put by my Warri neighbours,” Dem no go fall your hand” when you treat them well.
