If there's anything I cherish the most, it is surely my me-time, a time to relax and breathe, a moment of creativity, self- growth and freedom.
I work around the clock, that sometimes I hear an inner voice inside of my head which means I am overworking myself, sometimes I do experience burnout and fatigue and gradually begin to feel sick.
As time goes by, I re-created a schedule that makes it mandatory to enjoy some me-time because when one burns the candle at both ends, he/she will eventually go up in flames, I have learned to balance work and rest so as to stay sane and productive.
Being an adventurous person, I love to try a lot of things in my free time , from learning something new, to reading, to drawing, to dancing in my room, but few things though bring me immense joy and it is listening to music and taking a few snapshot outside my compound. The only time you'll find me sleeping during my free time is when I am sick.
I love to enjoy nature as much as I can, so whenever I am not on my sewing machine as a professional seamstress, then I am taking a walk around the hood or taking a walk to my favorite spot which is the beach and of course you'll find me with my smartphone and airpod listening to music while at it.
For every little beauty around me, then I am capturing and rendering praises to the beauty I find there in while nodding my head to my favorite tunes.
If you take a trip to my gallery, you'll be amazed at how they are filled with snapshots of the blue skies, green grasses, colorful flowers, beautiful aesthetic and seas because they bring me joy.
I found that they help me to connect better and helps me live in the moment, it also helps me appreciate the simple things of life.
As time goes by, I began to focus my shots on more creative ways to express myself through photography and art.
I could water a plant just to take snapshots of it, so it comes out looking like dewdrop and that just an example of how far I can go taking shots of nature during my free time.
I love how colorful it makes my gallery look and the smile it brings to my heart.
For those time I am away from work, I am immensed in the present and helping my mind to be sane for another round of workload.
This is one of my sweet escape from stress and over-thinking, it is therapeutic for me.
I recommend you try it out too, more benefits are you'll have more self images to beautify your blog while writing and that's another motivation for me.
After taking some nice shots, I sometimes head to some editing apps on my phone to play around my shots to add more hues to them but most of the time, the natural photos are very good to go and viola I have made my day with these simple things.
This is my entry to the #iucontest, you can join in here if you wish.
All images used are mine.
