Friends, yesterday I could not bring you the usual recommendation due to electricity problems that many of you already know if you follow me from previous months.

But the good thing is that today I was able to return. In this case I bring you a new story. This one I have written about the letter 64 Tiana. I really enjoyed writing this story because it is different from all the ones I have written so far. In this case this is the first mystery story I have written. As it is the first of this genre that I do I hope you like it. However as I always say leave me your opinions in the comments to continue improving the new stories later. Then we begin.

Tiana was sitting in a neighborhood café, her fingers drumming nervously on the table, her eyes fixed on the door. In her purse she was carrying an envelope with something very important inside, what could it be? Well that envelope contained the lyrics to her best song, one she had been perfecting for months, and it was the only thing keeping her there. Saben the silence of the place contrasted a lot with the tension in her body, she tried to appear calm, but several things showed the opposite, like the napkin she had in her hands, which had her almost shredded. It was the last chance, she felt it as if it was the only one. Everything she had done up to that moment had led her there. But who was the person she had to find?

This story begins many years ago when it all started. Tiana had been in the musical career for years. She didn't really play any instruments and she didn't really sing. She was actually a song writer and had been a songwriter since she was very young. The truth is that she had a lot of talent for songwriting and inspiration came very easily to her. But there was a problem in this equation, despite her great talent she had not yet met the right people in the sense that they would use the lyrics of her songs or come across great singers who wanted to sing one of her songs.

Up to this point her songs had only been sung by a few singers with little talent in local venues. Those singers, even though the lyrics were very good, did not get the potential out of the song. Therefore it was not very popular or well known and Tiana hardly gained any reputation with them, or even lost. But one day it can be said that things changed. You see, she received an envelope with no return address. When she opened it, it only had an anonymous message with clear instructions. What were they? Well, to meet someone at the café where this story begins and to bring the lyrics of the best song she had. At first she didn't like it very much, you know, it's not easy to go see a stranger. But she had to do it because in the music industry you can't be afraid, and she knew that.

Well, when the time came, a great childhood friend of hers showed up. He was the one who sent her the anonymous letter. Although he didn't explain why he did it. He told her: “I found out that you have a lot of talent writing songs, that's why I made you come here”, “I'm going to put you in contact with a great friend of mine so you can make a lot of money with your songs and finally get the fame I know you want”. The truth is that this made Tiana happy because that's what she had been wanting for a long time, to live from her work as a song writer. So she gave him the envelope with her best song, although I won't lie to you she was a little suspicious. “I'll see you around,” her friend said before leaving the cafe.

After that it was days, then weeks, until she heard a song on the radio that sounded familiar. It was her handwriting, the one she had given to her friend, and it was being sung by a well-known singer in town. She was very excited because it was the first time a song of hers had been on the radio. One thing she didn't like though, her name was never mentioned in the credits. But she didn't think much of it at the time. A few days later, another envelope arrived from the friend this time with a rather ambiguous thank you, with a good sum of money and a promise, if she kept sending lyrics, there would be more opportunities.

The truth is that she got carried away at the time by that money, which seemed like a lot to her, but in reality was minuscule compared to what other writers earn. So she continued to send more songs, some of which were performed by emerging artists, and by newcomers. But it had yet to be performed by a singer of national or perhaps international renown, which was what she wanted most. After a while she got an invitation from her friend to go to a private event, where she would meet the producer who had been taking care of her work up to that moment. When she arrived at the place she realized that it was very luxurious. Well, there she finally met the producer, his name was Rafel, but everyone called him the hunter.

The three of them sat at the table, that is, Tiana, her friend, and the producer. She had been asked to come to make him a deal, to officially join his company. This company consisted in promoting the talent of the writers by putting them in contact with potential singers who were looking for lyrics to perform, while they would get a commission for that work. The truth is that Tiana liked this, but she couldn't help but feel that it was all double-edged.

Then Tiana's lyrics kept appearing in songs by emerging artists, but she noticed that much of the lyrics were changed. Then she would hear that missing part of the song in a different song. That was very strange to her. One day, she ran into a co-worker who also wrote songs for the company and he told her to be careful not to ask the bosses about it. That co-worker had overheard her talking to others about changing the lyrics.

She kept quiet for the moment but that editing in her lyrics bothered her. In the following weeks she found out from other co-workers that she had been given a small amount of money compared to the actual amount the company received. And the fact is that they had a double face or rather a double contract. First a real one where the company gave and authorized a singer to use the lyrics. It also said what he had to pay, which was an important sum. Then there was the fake contract that was given to Tiana, which reflected a much lower amount of money than what the original contract actually said. This was the straw that broke the camel's back, because not only were they editing her handwriting, now they were also cheating her with the money. This hurt her very much because she thought that the company was going to help her in her professional work, but in reality they were just taking advantage of her.

He decided to do the unthinkable, to take things slowly. Anyone in his situation would have exploded. So he decided to leave things as they were so he could have more proof of what was going on. So she kept giving them lyrics, then watched as the same thing repeated itself, almost all the lyrics were edited for lyrics that were worse in every way, then a sleazy singer sang it she got less money than she should have and the cycle repeated itself. She just wanted to keep gathering evidence of the scam. With the help of the producer's secretary she got into the producer's personal computer, there she realized something terrible. Then she said, this is the moment.

She arranged a private meeting at the cafe where it had all started. This time instead of bringing a song she went with a written statement with everything she had gathered, her suspicions, her fears and the evidence of the mega fraud they were all subjected to in that company. The producer was simply petrified, and he did not come alone. At his side was his childhood friend, a friend who was something else that had no meaning. He had actually been the architect of everything that had happened to him. The thing is, he had been manipulating her from the beginning. First he was the one who told the producer about her, because he had known her before and knew how talented she was. He was speechless when he heard the evidence of everything, he just stammered.

The reality of the matter is that his friend was envious of her because she was a better songwriter than he was. That's why in the beginning he recommended her to the producer to join. But the thing does not end there, he was also the one who modified her lyrics to reduce the success they could have. In addition to this he took large parts of her lyrics to add them to his own songs to improve them. All this at the expense of Tiana's work. Tiana was able to find out about this thanks to the security recordings that the secretary had helped her get on the head producer's computer. The horrible thing I mentioned before is that she learned the cruel truth of the real purpose of the company. Which was to get talented music writers, then take their best lyrics for them, plus rip them off financially.

The decision was quick. He decided to expose everything, regardless of the consequences. At that moment, the police arrived at the premises and took away all those responsible for that outrage. In the end, Tiana had to be compensated for the damages. The funny thing is that what she thought would have consequences actually brought her benefits, because the news spread all over the country and many famous producers and singers started calling her to work with her. She simply could not believe it. She immediately prepared everything to start working for real, but of course now with more insight.
