Overcast day creating dark water and crisp reflections on a small pond.
The small pond is in northern Maine near Rangeley. We were walking late one afternoon.
Our walk was along a logging road well off the beaten path.
When we got a surprise. An otter with a small pup were on the bank. They swam across the pond. The pup remains hidden but is visible at the very end of the short video.
What a lovely little pond and lovely little bit of nature 😍 We were so close and it was so quiet we could hear the mother Otter huffing at us. I think annoyed that we were too close to her pup. But maybe just telling the pup to stay hidden.
