More snow overnight in Vermont. First real snow 2-3"

My wife put these two pictures together. Fall and winter. Or at least the start of winter. At some point most every year, the lake freezes over.

All the docks and boats are out of the lake. Usually these Adirondack chairs are put away at some point too.

Much more snow on the trees this morning. Nice walking this time of year. Ground is still warm enough the snow isn't really sticking. Roads stay clear without plows or salt.

We pass this small swamp everyday on our walk. Overgrown with lots of undergrowth but looks nice in the snow. And there is finally some standing water in the swamp. It dried up this summer and was dry all summer until recently due to the drought.

Snow on trees is always photogenic. This is an Eastern Cedar.

The payoff for our walk is always the lake. Lovely as always. Nice transition photo with some snow but also some leaves still on the trees.

Walking back by the swamp. Almost home. I'll get these photos up later this morning to share 🙂
