In this post, I will share an exciting experience and a successful moment when I found two very interesting insects: a metallic blue wasp and a grass demon butterfly. Most importantly, I managed to capture the beauty of these two insects through my photography. So, how did the results turn out.? Let’s take a look.
I managed to find a metallic blue wasp around the meadow on the edge of the forest, this wasp is small in size so its beauty is not visible and is often overlooked by me, this discovery really surprised me how amazing this insect is.
If we look at it from the top, its appearance looks quite ordinary, and all we can see is a little blue color and its transparent wings. But now, let’s try looking at it from another angle.
The beauty of this wasp can truly be seen when we look at it from the side or from below. This wasp has a slender and elongated body shape with fairly long legs, and like most wasps in general, it also has a narrow waist. However, the most interesting thing is its beautiful shiny metallic blue color. Unfortunately, this insect is very small, so we need to observe it from a fairly close distance to clearly appreciate its beauty.
On this occasion, I also tried to capture the beauty of this wasp perfectly,I photographed it from various angles and from a fairly close distance. There’s no need to worry, because this wasp is not very aggressive, so it is still relatively safe to get close to it.
And we also have one more insect that is quite interesting and deserves to be appreciated, namely the grass demon butterfly.
When I first found this butterfly, I thought it was a moth because its appearance was very similar. This is a small butterfly, and its beauty can only truly be appreciated from a close distance. It also has a very soft and gentle appearance, but in fact, this is a very wild butterfly that can fly very fast.
I experienced several failures trying to photograph this butterfly, it was not easy but I also did not want to lose it, I kept looking for opportunities and gaps to get close to it.
The main color of this butterfly is brown, but there are white patterns on its wings that make it look artistic and elegant. This butterfly also has two long antennae with curved tips. However, what caught my attention the most is its proboscis, which can roll up like a spring,most likely the proboscis functions to suck nectar from flowers.
