As usual my main job is as a farmer in the garden, now I start to focus on planting corn seeds in my cocoa garden, the work is really tiring, in the afternoon when all my work is finished, I immediately pack all the equipment to go home, but before going home I remember my mother's message to bring home tree branches that will be used as firewood, so I immediately collected the tree branches to take home, when I cut the tree branches into small pieces, suddenly I was surprised by a hissing sound, at first I thought it was a snake, but after I noticed it turned out to be the sound of a long-horned beetle.
The atmosphere at that time was starting to get dark, especially when I was under dense trees, so it created a darker atmosphere, so I immediately caught this beetle and took it home along with firewood twigs, when I got home I immediately put this beetle on the frangipani tree, I also immediately took the macro and flashlight.
As I know, this beetle can fly even for a long time, but at that time this beetle did not fly at all, but photographing it was very difficult because this beetle always looks for leaves to hide, look at the picture above, he is watching me behind the leaves Lol
This is the shape and appearance of this beetle if we look at it from the top, the color does look ordinary, but the uniqueness of this beetle can be seen from its very long horns, in fact its horns are longer than its body.
I spent quite a long time just to photograph this one beetle, this beetle would not stay still for long and kept moving looking for a place to hide, but I always tried to move it to an open branch so I could photograph it easily.
I don't know whether this beetle is venomous or not, but if you look closely, this beetle has a mouth like an ant's mouth and it can also be concluded that this beetle will bite if it feels threatened, I myself do not touch this beetle with my hands directly, so I use twigs or leaves to be safe.
After I took this picture of the beetle, I immediately took it back to the garden and released it back there so it can live again in the wild. And now I'm going to end this post soon, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below..
See you again next time 🙏🏻
